President SCCI Junaid Altaf chaired an Islamic Banking Awareness Session organized by Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan, Experts at the session emphasized the growing role of Shariah-compliant banking in strengthening Pakistan’s economic landscape and promoting sustainable financial solutions. Senior Vice President, Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Mr. Muhammad Nadeem, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) University of Lakki Marwat - ULM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The MoU aims to promote joint academic, research and development (R&D) activities of mutual interest. Under this collaboration, both institutions will work together on joint research projects, faculty and student exchanges, sharing of academic and scientific information, bilateral use of research facilities, and the organization of seminars, workshops, conferences and training programs. The agreement also encourages cooperation in course delivery, innovation, and technology-driven initiatives, in line with HEC ORIC Policy 2021. Secretary General SCCI, Mr. Muqtasid Ahsan, along with officials from the University of Lakki Marwat, were also present on the occasion.

President SCCI Junaid Altafchaired an awareness session on Developing Pakistan’s Export Ecosystem”, organized by the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with EXIM Bank of Pakistan The CEO of EXIM Bank briefed participants on the bank’s mandate, export finance schemes, credit risk sharing, and initiatives aimed at facilitating the business community. The trading community called for special incentives, subsidies, advisory support, and enhanced financial and technical assistance for SMEs and industrial units. Senior Vice President SCCI Muhammad Nadeem, Executive Committee Members, Secretary General Muqtasid Ahsan, representatives of EXIM Bank, President and vp of Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry Peshawar, TDAP officials, exporters, importers, industrialists, and members of the business community also attended the session and actively participated in the discussion.

President SCCI Mr. Junaid Altaf signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with LMKT to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and private-sector-led economic development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The MoU establishes a collaborative framework between SCCI and LMKT through its flagship initiative, National Incubation Center (NIC) Peshawar, aimed at strengthening startups, supporting female entrepreneurs, enhancing investment readiness, and building a robust investor ecosystem. Senior Vice President SCCI Mr. Muhammad Nadeem, Secretary General Mr. Muqtasid Ahsan and officials from LMKT were also present on the occasion.

President Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry Junaid Altaf chaired an awareness session organized by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan - DRAP on e-submission of quota allocation. On the occasion of #Kenya’s National Day celebration During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the sectors of industry, mines and minerals, and exports. On this occasion, Federal Minister Bilal Azhar Kayani aassured President Junaid Altaf that he would meet a delegation of the Sarhad Chamber in the coming days and would also visit the Chamber.

President SCCI Junaid Altaf attended the ceremony held in Islamabad under the chair of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi regarding the transfer of shares of Meeran Block. During the briefing, it was shared that 49% of the shares will be held by OGDCL and 51% by KPOGCL. The initiative is expected to boost oil and gas exploration, attract new investment, and create opportunities for local employment, business development, and industrial growth in the province.

Senior Vice President Muhammad Nadeem, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with eShifa Home Health to facilitate home healthcare services for SCCI members and their dependents. Under this partnership, eShifa will provide a range of services including Home Laboratory Services, Home Rehabilitation Services, Home Nursing Services, and Fouree Mashwara (online consultation). The agreement also offers discounts ranging from 5% to 15% on selected services and extends access to eShifa collection centers located in Islamabad, Peshawar, Multan, Faisalabad, Skardu, Gilgit, and other cities. Vice President Sabir Ahmed Bangash and Secretary General Muqtasid Ahsan were also present on the occasion.

President SCCI, Junaid Altaf , attended the National Day of Thailand & the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great – Thailand’s Father of the Nation. On this occasion, President SCCI met with Ambassador of Thailand H.E. Rongvudhi Virabutr, as well as the Ambassadors of Jordan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Hungary, and discussed opportunities for strengthened bilateral relations and future economic cooperation.

President SCCI, Junaid Altaf, attended the Uzbekistan-Pakistan Business Forum 2025 at Getz Pharma., Karachi, and held a productive discussion with Executive Chairman Getz Pharma, Mr. Khalid Mahmood, on strengthening pharmaceutical trade and future collaboration. He emphasized the importance of establishing a Getz Pharma manufacturing unit in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, enabling local pharmacists, skilled workforce, and industries to benefit from Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and enhancing the region’s export potential. Mr. Khalid Mahmood welcomed the proposal, expressing his interest in visiting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa soon to explore the possibility of setting up a production unit in the province.

President SCCI Junaid Altaf attended the 23rd Pharma Asia International Exhibition 2025 in Karachi as Chief Guest, where he visited various stalls, appreciated industry innovations, and distributed shields among participants for their remarkable contributions to Pakistan’s pharmaceutical sector. The engagement highlighted the strategic role of pharma exports, technological advancement, and industry collaboration in shaping the future of healthcare and economic growth.
